Re-turn RVM Grant Scheme Applications now Open!
Re-turn are pleased to announce that Re-turn RVM grant applications are now open. As a Retailer, you can now apply for funding of RVMs in your stores, subject to meeting certain criteria.
The following Retailers are eligible to apply for the RVM grant:
- Retailers with RVMs which process less than 250,000 containers per year
- Retailers receiving less than €1m in handling fees annually
- RVMs must have consumer availability at an average of 80% to qualify for the basic grant
- RVMs with average available 85% or more each year are eligible for a top-up grant.

Re-turn 2023 Annual Report
Re-turn is pleased to present our Annual Report for 2023. This report highlights the critical activities undertaken during the preparation phase for the launch of Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme. Although the Scheme was not yet operational during this time, the groundwork laid in 2023 was instrumental in setting the stage for the launch on 1 February, 2024.
The report provides a comprehensive overview of our organisation’s operations across multiple areas, showcasing the planning and coordinated efforts to establish the Deposit Return Scheme. It also underscores our ambitious goals, the anticipated positive impacts, and our collective commitment to driving a more sustainable future. We would like to thank all retailers, producers, distributors and other key stakeholders for their input and support during this period, which helped ensure the successful launch of Re-turn, Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme.
